Shiraz (or
Syrah in the Rhone valley in France) was first introduced to Australia
in the first half of the 19th Century. It has, over the years, become
synonymous with Australian red winemaking - capable of producing
blockbuster wines bursting with 'sunshine' and tannins, and also
smoother, more subtle varieties, where the softness and jamminess of the
fruit is more pronounced. |
