Shantell
2001 Shiraz
Winemaker’s comments
COLOUR
Deep ruby of medium intensity
AROMA
The 2001 Shiraz shows typical blackberry and spice aromas with
classy vanilla oak.
PALATE
The complex blend of fresh, lively blackberry and spice flavours are
complemented by cracked pepper and firm fine tannins.
The mouth feel is smooth and the finish long and satisfying.
The 2001 Shiraz shows the fruit intensity expected from a very low
cropping vintage. This well balanced wine has the potential to
reward those who can cellar it for 5 to 8 years.
SERVING SUGGESTION
Lamb Cutlets on baked Parsnip and wilted Spinach Leaves or your
favourite cheese platter.
