Winemaker’s comments

The 99 vintage was considered one of the best for Coonawarra and added another great year for the 90’s. We enjoyed the year as the grapes ripened easily as well as with no rain at all recorded during the harvest period.

Our 99 Shiraz has a firm natural acid base, evident sweet fruit with a hint of pepper. The wine was matured in American oak for 18 months. This wine needs time in the bottle to reach its true potential, and will benefit with cellaring. Best drinking will be 2003…..2006
