Winemaker’s comments
The grapes for this wine were from Myrtle Point vineyard near
Bairnsdale in East Gippsland. They were picked very ripe, early in
the season on 29th March. The climate at this time is a
little milder and more humid that at Narkoojee. It is a very smooth and full flavoured wine. The
colour is deep crimson, with a bouquet of violets, liquorice and black
pepper. The flavour is sweet ripe plums, cherries and spice with a silky smooth texture with soft
tannins and long finish.
