Narkoojee
Myrtle Point Shiraz 2000
Winemaker’s comments
The grapes for this wine were from Myrtle Point vineyard near
Bairnsdale in East Gippsland. They were picked very ripe, late in
the season on 2nd May 2000. The climate at this time is a
little milder and more humid that at Narkoojee. The wine was bottled
in November 2001. It is a very smooth and full flavoured wine. The
colour is medium cherry red and the bouquet is perfume of violets,
cinnamon and black currents. The flavour is sweet ripe plums,
blackcurrants and spice with a silky smooth texture with soft
tannins and long finish.
