Morambro Creek
2004 Unwooded Chardonnay
Winemaker's comments
The wine is light golden straw in colour and displays fresh
pineapple and passion fruit in the nose, whilst exhibiting classic
cool climate characters. The palate is well balanced with rich round
fruit flavours and hints of lemon and mineral, finishing with a
long, crisp, mouth cleansing acid. The lack of ‘wood’ makes this
very atypical of Australian Chardonnays and far closer to the
European style.
This wine can, and does, appeal to many people who fall into the
'ABC' camp - 'anything but chardonnay'.
Last few cases!!
