Winemaker's comments
Deep purple in colour and displays hints of blackberry, ripe
plum, and white pepper aromas. The flavours are exceptionally long
and simular to the nose, with fresh black cherry and blackberry
fruit flavours dominating the palate, with undertones of well
integrated subtle cedary oak, pepper and vanillin characters. Made
in open fermenters using extended maceration, this wine is full
bodied, mouthfeel is velvety with a long concentrated finish.
Drinking fabulously now, but will continue to develop in the bottle
for another 7 to 9 years.
