being widely planted in the 19th Century it was only in the latter part
20th Century that Australian Cabernet Sauvignon began to gain a
worldwide reputation and following. Recently it has begun to close the
gap to challenge Shiraz as Australia's most widely grown red grape
variety.

in the cooler parts of the continent where the grapes have the
opportunity to mature on the vines and develop some very deep flavours
that only increase with age.
